Mumbai: Indian cricketers receive a lot of love from their fans, especially if they play well. However, the fans’ reactions may take a turn for the worse, when they go through a dry patch.

India captain Virat Kohli and former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni are two of the most popular cricketers in India right now. However, the two have been experiencing a lean patch of form recently, in the ongoing Indian Premier League season.

While poor form attracts criticism from fans on social media, this time it drew flak from someone, who is very well known in the world of cinema.

Renowned film critic Kamaal R Khan (KRK) was recently very critical of the two cricketers, who are struggling in the IPL.

KRK laid the blame for RCB’s poor form on former owner Vijay Mallya’s “looting corrupt nature”, and captain Virat Kohli’s “arrogance”.

The 42-year-old also went on to criticise the much-loved Dhoni, who he believes, has been blaming his bat for playing “flop shots” this season.

Dhoni had also attracted some criticism from Rising Pune Supergiant owner's brother Harsh Goenka, who later went on to take back his words after the former RPS skipper churned out a few good performances with the bat.

KRK also went on to call Kohli a “monkey”, who abuses on the pitch, and jumps up and down, when an umpiring decision does not go his way.
