Mumbai: Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli is tipped to take over from MS Dhoni and lead Team India in ODIs and T20s. Team India Director Ravi Shastri had recently suggested that Kohli should be made India’s captain in shorter formats of the game as well.

"If I am the chairman of selectors, I would be thinking in that fashion, absolutely. It is time to start thinking. You have to see India has no major event in three years till 2019 World Cup. This is your best chance to think and build," Shastri said.

While former team director is wholeheartedly throwing his weight behind Kohli, Yuvraj Singh refused to comment on the topic. In fact, India’s World Cup-winning hero lost his cool when asked whether Kohli is poised to take over from Dhoni.

The incident took place when Yuvraj attended a charity gala dinner Kohli organised on Friday in Mumbai. Virat Kohli Foundation joined hands with Smile Foundation which benefits approximately 4 lakh children and their families, to support the cause of empowerment of underprivileged Children and Youth.

Yuvraj was asked whether Kohli’s should take over from Dhoni. The southpaw did not look too pleased with it and said: “Main yahaa par event kee baat karne aayaa hoon, cricket kee baat nahee karnee.” (I am here for an event, not to discuss cricket).
