Bengaluru: The Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) last Sunday was marred by a conflict between a security guard and a lady who had attended the match.

Following the match, the security guard was involved in a fight with the lady, after which he  reportedly abused her.

According to a report in The Bangalore Mirror, the guard, identified as Kumud Gautham, had rudely behaved with the lady.

However, following this, a man, who had slapped the lady’s elderly relative four times, came to the rescue.

According to the report, Ajay Hilori, identified as the rescuer, is a member of the Indian Police Service.

“Maybe he didn’t know that I was an officer. Since he was rude and abusive, I had to control him,” Ajay said.

“I was walking out (of the stadium) at that time with the organising in-charge Sunil. I intervened as the women were in trouble and the security started abusing me too. I was just trying to tell him that this was not the way to behave with women,” he continued.

RCB will next lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Monday.
