Bengal CM to Sanction Rs 10 Cr For Renovation of Kalyani Stadium
BJP MLA told that the fund would be sanctioned for the development of infrastructure of the stadium
Kalyani (WB): West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has decided to sanction Rs 10 crore for the renovation of Kalyani Stadium in Nadia district after noticing its "poor condition" during a recent visit here, a BJP legislator said. After inaugurating a community Durga Puja in Kalyani, local MLA Anupam Biswas told reporters on Wednesday night that the fund would be sanctioned for the development of infrastructure of the stadium and its renovation.
The chief minister had, on Tuesday, arrived by helicopter at Kalyani Stadium to attend a Durga Puja inauguration. The MLA was present there to welcome him.
While walking across the stadium, Adhikari took note of the condition of the sporting facility and its existing infrastructure, Biswas said.
"He told me that Rs 10 crore would be sanctioned for the stadium's development and also informed the district administration about the decision," the BJP legislator said.
