\'P V Sindhu in Tirupati for thanksgiving

TIRUPATI: Badminton ace P. V. Sindhu, who won the historic gold medal at the BWF World Badminton Championship in Basel, Switzerland, earlier this week, offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala on Friday morning.

Sindhu, who spent some time inside the sanctum sanctorum, worshipped the Mula Virat of Lord Venkateswara on Friday morning.

TTD officials presented her with prasadams. Besides, a team of Vedic Pundits also rendered Vedasirvachanam on the world champion inside Ranganayakula mandapam.

Later, speaking to media persons, Sindhu said: “I have visited this shrine to offer prayers to Lord Venkateswara as I vowed to come back on a thanksgiving trip after winning the gold at the world championship. My immediate goal is to prepare better and perform well at in upcoming tournaments.”
