Kolkata: The teams for the playoffs are finally decided and it will be  Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) who will take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Qualifier 1, while Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will lock horns with Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Eliminator.

While the Qualifier 1 will be taking place at Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday, the Eliminator will take place at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata on May 23rd.

While KKR beat table toppers SRH on Saturday to seal their place in the playoffs, Rajasthan knocked out Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and with Delhi Daredevils (DD) beating defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday and CSK trumping Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), RR sealed the fourth spot in the playoffs alongside SRH, CSK and KKR.

With Kolkata expected to have rains on Wednesday, the possibilities of rain-truncated encounter or no game are realistic. In this case, what will happen if the Eliminator between KKR and RR does not take place?

In case the game gets called off it will be KKR who will advance as they finished ahead of RR on the points table in league stage. They will then take on against a loser from Qualifier 1 - either CSK or SRH - in Qualifier 2 on May 25th.
