K Maneesha wins, Krishna Priya runner-up

The Reserve Bank of India team finished runner-up in the championship.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad shuttler Sree Krishna Priya Kudaravalli made an impressive run to the finals before settling for silver in the All India Public Sector Badminton Tournament held at Jaipur.

Representing the Reserve Bank of India, Krishna Priya stormed through the first four rounds in straight games before going down 21-14, 16-21, 16-21 to Shikha Gautam in the title clash.

Earlier, she beat Shriyanshi Pardeshi 22-10, 21-18; walloped Vaidehi 21-15, 21-14; hemmed in Hena Das 22-11, 21-4 and slammed B. Smitha 21-2, 21-2 as she turned up the heat.

Another Hyderabad shuttler, K. Maneesha, won the mixed doubles title. She paired up with Anjaan Burogehaon to defeat Ravi and Sakshi Gahlawat 21-12, 21-13 in the summit clash.

The Reserve Bank of India team finished runner-up in the championship.
