Mumbai: India shuttler Saina Nehwal – who won the Australian Open Super Series on Sunday – is one of India’s medal hopes at Rio Olympics starting later this year. The 26-year-old is keen to learn the art of aggression and maintaining the purple patch from cricketer Virat Kohli.

The Indian Test skipper had a good run so far this season with good show in Australia, Asia Cup T20 and ICC World Twenty20 followed by IPL where he scored four hundreds.

Kohli sent a congratulatory tweet to Saina after her triumph.

Congratulations @NSaina So happy for you. Onwards and Upwards always #ProudIndian,” wrote Kohli.

“I would love to get more aggression like u for winning more matches. I m trying hard for that. Thank u so much,” replied Saina.

The ball is in Kohli’s court now – a workshop and pep talk from the cricketer could just help the Indian contingent leaving for Rio.
