Mumbai: After the highs of the BWF World Championships in Glasgow, last month, the Indian badminton fans are faced with a bit of a disappointment as two of the country’s top shuttlers – Saina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth – have pulled out of the Korea Open Superseries.

Saina, who came up with a bronze medal finish at the World Championships, has pulled out of the tournament with a thigh injury.

Srikanth, who bowed out in the men’s singles quarterfinal in Glasgow, has no such injury, however, according to Sportskeeda.

Nehwal has recently had a reunion with former coach Pullela Gopichand, whom she joined after a gap of around three years. She had been training with Vimal Kumar at the Prakash Padukone Academy in Bengaluru.
