NIZAMABAD: A 22-year-old youth died by suicide allegedly after the girl he loved decided to marry someone else, police said. The incident took place at Maria Tanda in Dharpally mandal of Nizamabad district. Police have identified the deceased as Banoth Vijay, 22, of Maria Tanda. He had reportedly been in a relationship with a local girl for some time. Police said Vijay recorded a video on his mobile phone before his death, in which he spoke about his distress over the girl deciding to marry someone else.

On coming to know about the suicide, police reached the spot and conducted an inquiry. Based on the video found on his mobile phone, police have registered a case and are investigating.
