Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Youth Congress held a rally from the Rajiv Gandhi statue to the Indira Gandhi statue on NTR Marg, along with a massive flexi of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to express gratitude for allotting 42 per cent reservations for the BC community, categorising SC communities to share the quota and introducing Rajiv Yuva Vikas for unemployed persons. In an innovative measure, the flexi was held by drones.
Speaking at the rally, Mota Rohit, former president of the Hyderabad Youth Congress, said Telangana was the first state to pass the SC categorisation Bill, and this was only possible due to the Congress government’s efforts. He lashed out at the Opposition parties for criticising the Chief Minister and said the BRS which ruled the state for two terms had done nothing for students and unemployed youth.
