World Monuments Fund Team to Support Telangana State Museum

Hyderabad: A delegation from the World Monuments Fund (WMF) has expressed willingness to extend support and explore possibilities for mobilizing funds for the revival and strengthening of the State Museum in Telangana.

The team consisting of Malini Tandon, executive director, Meghana Datta, Madhu Sree, and Ipsita, visited the Telangana Museum on Thursday. The delegation was accompanied by heritage department director Prof K. Arjun Rao, deputy directors, Dr P. Nagaraju and Dr D. Ramulu Naik and assistant directors, B. Mallu and D. Bujji.

Prof. Arjun Rao briefed the WMF delegation on the history, significance, collections, and ongoing activities of the Telangana State Museum. According to a statement, the WMF team expressed great appreciation for the remarkable collection of museum objects and antiquities preserved in the Telangana Museum.
