Works at Qutb Shahi tombs, Deccan Park reviewed
The AKTC team briefed the officials on the progress of the restoration at the Qutb Shahi Heritage Park and shared plans for a proposed site management system post-completion of the work.
Hyderabad: Senior officials from various heritage and civic departments conducted a joint inspection of the Qutb Shahi tombs and Deccan Park to review the ongoing restoration and beautification works.
Anuraag Jayanti, officer on special duty (OSD) at QQSUDA, and the zonal commissioner of Khairatabad (GHMC) visited the site along with Narsingh, deputy director, department of heritage, and Yella Reddy, secretary, QQSUDA.
Representatives from the department of heritage Telangana (DHT), the Quli Qutub Shah Urban Development Authority (QQSUDA) and the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) were also present.
The visit was meant for understanding the progress and scope of the conservation efforts. “Basically, we wanted to understand the ongoing work. We are planning training sessions for our engineers and staff regarding heritage works, in consultation with the Aga Khan group,” said, Anuraag Jayanti from QQSUDA.
