Hyderabad: An event managar, his techie girlfriend and a delivery executive formed the perfect troika to sell drugs in the city. The Hyderabad Narcotices Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) along with Chikkadpally police cracked the ring and arrested them with 22 grams of OG (hydroponic ganja), MDMA, 5.57 grams of Ecstasy pills and six LSD blots.

Police identified the accused as Ummidi Immanuel, an event manager, Chodavarapu Susmitha Devi alias Lilly, a software company employee, and Gorla Sai, delivery executive with two app-based services, all residents of Kondapur.

Immanuel procured the drugs via unidentified suppliers and later via Dark Web marketplaces using Tor browser. Payments were made through Binance/Trust Wallet, converting Indian rupees into US cryptocurrency, police said. The drugs were delivered through courier services.

Sushmitha admitted that she managed online financial transactions and received drug sale proceeds directly into her bank account in Immanuel’s absence, police said. They used Sai Kumar to deliver the drugs to consumers, according to a press release issued by task force and H-NEW DCP Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath.
