Woman Techie, Delivery Boy Among 4 Held For Peddling Drugs In Chikkadpally

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW), in coordination with Chikkadpally police, arrested three drug peddlers, including a woman software professional, and detained a consumer on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Chikkadpally in the city. Police said the arrests were made following credible information about drug trafficking activities in the area.

Police seized 22 grams of OG (hydroponic ganja), MDMA, 5.57 grams of ecstasy pills, six LSD blots, and ₹50,000 in cash. The total value seized, including the contraband, is estimated at Rs.3,12,980.

The accused peddlers were identified as Ummidi Immanuel (25), an event manager; Chodavarapu Susmitha Devi alias Lilly (21), a software employee; and Gorla Sai Kumar (28), a delivery boy. All three are residents of Kondapur and natives of Andhra Pradesh. The consumer was identified as Talabattula Taraka Laxmikanth (24), a resident of Chikkadpally.

Immanuel during interrogation, revealed that he was initially addicted to drugs and later took to peddling to sustain his addiction. He was involved in multiple NDPS and criminal cases registered across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, police said.

Immanuel is reportedly involved in multiple NDPS and other criminal cases registered across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. He procured contraband directly from suppliers and later through Dark Web platforms. Payments were routed via cryptocurrency wallets by converting Indian currency into USDT to conceal financial trails.

The accused received drugs through courier services and sold them at higher prices across Hyderabad. Police said that in Immanuel’s absence, the operations were managed by his live-in partner, Chodavarapu Susmitha Devi alias Lilly, a software employee at Cognizant. Delivery of the contraband was handled by Gorla Sai Kumar. Susmitha confessed to managing online financial transactions using her bank account.

According to police, the proceeds received through bank accounts were used to maintain their lavish lifestyles. Acting on credible information, H-NEW teams, along with Chikkadpally police arrested the accused and registered a case under relevant sections of the NDPS Act and produced the accused before the court for judicial remand.
