Warangal: Police cracked a sensational murder case within 24 hours in Kesamudram of Mahbubabad district, arresting a woman, her lover and another accomplice for the cold-blooded killing of her husband on Wednesday. The accused allegedly plotted the murder to claim insurance benefits linked to a home loan and to eliminate obstacles to their illicit relationship.

According to sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) N. Tirupathi Rao, the victim, Bhukya Yeranna, 45, was burdened with financial debts. His wife, Bhukya Vijaya, 40, was reportedly involved in a long-standing extramarital relationship with Boda Baloji, 45.

The duo were allegedly advised by a local RMP doctor, Dharmarapu Bharath, 28, that a home loan availed from Muthoot Finance could be waived if the borrower died in an accident. Viewing this as an opportunity to clear debts and continue their relationship, the trio allegedly conspired to murder Yeranna and stage it as a road accident.

On the night of December 22, 2025, Baloji and Bharath reportedly lured Yeranna to an oil palm plantation outside the village on the pretext of consuming alcohol. After he became intoxicated, Baloji allegedly struck him on the back of the head with an iron rod. Bharath then reportedly suffocated Yeranna with a towel to ensure death.

To make the crime appear accidental, the accused dumped the body along with Yeranna’s motorcycle in a nearby field along the Beruvada road.

Police registered a case under relevant sections of law and conducted the investigation under the supervision of Circle Inspector Y. Satyanarayana. SI K. Kranthi Kiran and P. Naresh played a key role in cracking the case and taking all three accused into custody.
