Woman Injured in Python Attack

Jangaon:A woman was injured after being attacked by a large python while working in an agricultural field at Kanchanpalli village in Raghunathpalli mandal of Jangaon district on Wednesday.
The victim, identified as Swapna, was working in a maize field when the nearly 12-foot-long python allegedly attacked her. Hearing her cries for help, family members and nearby farmers rushed to the spot, rescued her and shifted her to the Jangaon Area Hospital.

Dr Colonel (Retd.) Macharla Bikshapathi, who treated the woman, said she responded well to emergency treatment and was out of danger. He said her condition was stable and she was receiving further medical care.
The incident has caused concern among residents of Kanchanpalli village. Officials advised farmers and agricultural labourers to remain vigilant while working in fields during the monsoon, when the movement of snakes and other reptiles increases.
