Water Board Fines Anaganaga Hotel Rs.20,000 for Water Wastage in Jubilee Hills

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) has imposed a fine of Rs.20,000 on ‘Anaganaga’ hotel on Road Number 45 in Jubilee Hills for wasting water.
Board Managing Director K. Ashok Reddy was travelling from Jubilee Hills when he noticed that the premises of 'Anaganaga' hotel where water is being wasted by cleaning the premises. He expressed his anger over the management and clarified that these are valuable natural resources and should not be used indiscriminately for such purposes.
He ordered the officials to issue a notice to the concerned and impose a fine. As per the MD's orders, a fine of Rs. 20,000 was imposed and the officials collected the amount. The MD stated that the protection of water resources is everyone's responsibility.
He advised people to avoid excessive use of water, especially for cleaning premises, roads, etc. He warned that if it is found that water resources, including drinking water, are being misused and wasted, action will be taken as per the rules.
