Hyderabad: A solemn wreath laying ceremony was organised at Veerula Sainik Smarak in Hyderabad, to commemorate Vijay Diwas, marking the Indian Forces' victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak War. The ceremony paid tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation.

Jishnu Dev Verma, Governor of Telangana, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana and Major General Ajay Misra, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Telangana and Andhra Sub Area (TASA), were among the dignitaries who laid wreaths at the memorial.

Other esteemed guests included officials from the Ministry of Defence, veterans, and families of the Bravehearts.

In his address, Jishnu Dev Verma highlighted the bravery and selflessness of the Indian soldiers who fought for the nation's sovereignty and integrity. Bhatti Vikramarka emphasized the importance of remembering and honouring the sacrifices made by the armed forces.

Ajay Misra reaffirmed the Indian Army's commitment to safeguarding the nation's security and unity. The event highlighted the valour and patriotism of Indian soldiers, reinforcing the nation's commitment to honouring their legacy.
