Sangareddy: Tension prevailed at the Vatpally Police Station in Sangareddy district on Saturday after villagers from Darakasthupalli allegedly vandalised the premises following the death of a 22-year-old man.

According to reports, Beerappa (22), a resident of Darakasthupalli who was working on a roadside dhaba, was found hanging from a tree in an alleged case of suicide.

The villagers alleged that the police and the dhaba management removed the body from the spot without informing the victim's family or local residents.

Enraged villagers gathered at the Vatpally Police Station, where they allegedly damaged furniture and windows.

Police brought the situation under control and registered a case. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding Beerappa's death.
