Hyderabad:A 28-year-old man murdered his killed his wife at Saidpur of Tandur mandal of Vikarabad district, reportedly after demanding dowry. The murder took place on Thursday but came to light when CCTV footage became available, and was also shared on social media.
According to police, the accused, Paramesh, and the victim, Anusha, had married a few months ago after a love affair, with the consent of their parents. Disputes began when Paramesh started demanding dowry. Three months ago, Anusha had returned to her parents’ house but family elders counselled the couple who began staying together.
A quarrel broke out again on Thursday when Anusha tried to go to her parents' residence. CCTV footage showed Paramesh hitting Anusha with a stick. She collapsed and was shifted to a hospital where doctors declared her dead. Paramesh was reportedly absconding, police said.
