KARIMNAGAR: The Telangana government has cleared a ₹76 crore redevelopment plan for Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Temple, with officials promising uninterrupted worship and improved amenities during the phased reconstruction.
Principal secretary (endowments) Shailaja Ramaiyer inspected the temple complex on Thursday alongside Government Whip Aadi Srinivas, endowments commissioner K. Sridhar and district collector Sandeep Kumar Jha. Welcomed with poorna kumbham honours, the delegation offered special prayers before reviewing project sites.

Key allocations include:
• ₹38 crore — Main shrine reconstruction in line with Agama Shastra and Vastu norms.
• ₹35 crore — New Annadanam Sathram and free-meals programme.
• ₹47 crore — Widening approach roads and other town level works.
