Vahan Updated With Three New Online Services
Vehicle owners can now apply online for ownership transfer, interstate NOC and eKYC updates through the Vahan portal without visiting RTO offices.
Vehicle owners can now avail three important online services through the Vahan Citizen Services portal - transfer of ownership, no objection certificate for transferring a vehicle to another state, and updating eKYC details - without requiring a visit to the RTO office. All three services require Aadhaar-based OTP authentication.
The state transport department urged the vehicle owners to keep the vehicle details, Aadhaar-linked mobile numbers and required documents ready, before availing the online services in the prescribed format. In the eKYC service, details cannot be corrected once submitted. An incorrect application can only be withdrawn and filed afresh, and the fee paid is forfeited.
The department advised vehicle owners to never share OTPs with anyone and use only the official Vahan portal. For any query about an application already under process, contact the concerned RTO.
