USPC Announces Joint Stir Over Pending Demands, Accuses Government of Neglecting Primary Schools
The committee accused the state government and the education department officials of neglect and said “government primary schools are gradually shutting down because of officials’ attitude.”
Hyderabad:The United Struggle Committee of Teachers’ Organisations (USPC) said it would launch a joint agitation with teachers’ unions over unresolved teacher, employee and education-sector issues, following a steering committee meeting here on Tuesday chaired by TTA president S. Harikrishna.
The committee accused the state government and the education department officials of neglect and said “government primary schools are gradually shutting down because of officials’ attitude.”
It criticised the government for not amending GO 25, which it said harmed primary education, and for failing to frame service rules under the Presidential Order, 2018, or fill supervisory posts.
The USPC also demanded service weightage in TET, a special TET with subject-wise papers, revised timetables for BC and Tribal Gurukuls, merger of model schools with the education department, fixing minimum wages for contract workers, payment of five pending DA instalments, and release of pending bills without delay from the government.
