Uppal Junction Flyover Makes 30.8% Progress

Hyderabad: The Rs.311-crore Uppal junction grade separator-cum-flyover project has achieved 30.886 per cent physical progress, while land acquisition for properties required for the six-lane second-level flyover is still under way.
The 1,436.18-metre flyover is being constructed along the Ramanthapur–Warangal Highway route to ease traffic congestion at the Uppal junction. The project requires 0.76 acre of Survey of India land, for which the authorities have initiated the process for issuing Transferable Development Rights (TDR).
Land acquisition is also continuing for nine properties, including assets belonging to TGIIC, on the Ramanthapur side. Four property owners have applied for TDR and the process is currently under way.
