Warangal: As many as 130 outsourcing employees of the information and public relations (I&PR) department who were removed from service 11 months ago have appealed for their reinstatement.
The sacked employees said they were appointed under Government Order Rt.No.1197 after going through a written test and interviews. The appoints were made with permission from the finance department during the BRS government tenure, they said.
They were appointed as assistant public relation officers (APROs) with a salary of Rs.36,750, publicity assistants (photographers and videographers) at Rs.27,130 and office subordinates at Rs.15,700.
Citing irregularities in their appointment, I&PR department senior officials had given oral instructions to remove them from service, they said. They have presented their case to officials but have not got any relief, they said.
One of the out-sourcing employees told Deccan Chronicle that since the appointments made by the previous BRS government, the incumbent administration was not showing any interest in continuing their services. He questioned the fairness of the process.
Another employee said that as their life had been disrupted and that they were facing a lot of problems in looking their family members.
“As the government has taken up several welfare schemes, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and I&PR minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy must understand the problems of the unemployed youth and do justice by reinstating into services,” he urged.
