Two Minor Brothers Sexually Assaulted by Seniors at Serlingampally Govt Residential School

Out of fear, the young victims initially remained silent and did not inform the hostel management. However, after going home, the first brother opened up to his mother. The victim’s father filed a case with Dundigal police, the police allegedly did not even send the victim for medical tests.

Post the police station episode, the mother noticed the second son not being able to sit properly. She constantly questioned him snd then he finally admitted to having been subjected to the same abuse similar to his brother.
Talking to Deccan Chronicle, the victim's father expressed deep anguish over the school's response. He stated that he initially called the class teacher, but when the teacher failed to explain what had happened, he directly went to the residential school to seek answers. Instead of addressing his grave concerns, the school administration gave him a dismissive response telling him to come later.
Frustrated by the school authorities' apathy, the father approached the police and filed an official complaint. Though the matter was taken to the police, officials responded late, causing further distress to the family. The police reportedly acted slow when the parents took the incident of the second son to the police, and eventually said they will look into it. However, the registered FIR only shows one son as the victim and no mention of the other son’s ordeal.
The case is registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act, 2012 provisions dealing with aggravated penetrative sexual assault, including repeated assault, offences involving children below 12 years of age, and prescribe stringent punishment for the offence.

The police subsequently investigated the matter and confirmed that three senior students were involved in the assault. Police said that the trio of accused minors were apprehended and subsequently sent to a government Observation Home as legal proceedings continue.

Inter-district bike theft gang busted; 28 stolen two-wheelers recovered

The Central Crime Station (CCS) of the Warangal commissionerate, in coordination with the Kakatiya University police, arrested two members of an inter-district motorcycle theft gang and recovered 28 stolen two-wheelers allegedly stolen from various districts across Telangana.

Warangal police commissioner N. Swetha said the case was solved using technical evidence and crime pattern analysis.

Special teams constituted under Central Zone DCP Dara Kavitha analysed a series of motorcycle theft cases and launched an investigation. Based on technical leads, police arrested Donthula Prashanth Kumar, 20, and Durgam Sai Karthik, 21, both natives of Mancherial district.

According to police, the accused were intercepted while travelling on a suspected stolen Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle during vehicle checking. During interrogation, they allegedly confessed to stealing motorcycles from different districts. Police later recovered 28 stolen motorcycles concealed near Munipalli village and Elukurthy in the Kakatiya University police station limits.

The recovered vehicles include Honda Shine, Hero Splendor Plus, Hero Glamour, Hero HF Deluxe, Bajaj Pulsar and Honda Hornet motorcycles.

Police said the recovered vehicles were linked to theft cases registered in multiple jurisdictions, including eight in the Warangal commissionerate, nine in the Karimnagar commissionerate, three in the Ramagundam commissionerate, two in the Siddipet commissionerate, three in the Hyderabad commissionerate, one in the Rachakonda commissionerate and two in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district.

The accused were also allegedly involved in previous property offences. Police said the recovered motorcycles would be returned to their owners after completion of legal formalities.

Commissioner N. Swetha advised vehicle owners to park their motorcycles securely, use anti-theft devices such as wheel locks and report suspicious persons or vehicles to the nearest police station or Dial 100.

She appreciated the efforts of CCS inspectors A. Raghavender, E. Harikrishna and K. Ramakrishna, Kakatiya University inspector Ravikumar, CCS sub-inspector Srinivasa Raju, the IT Core Team and other police personnel for solving the case.

Case booked over abusive post on TGCSB chief

Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) registered a case after an unidentified person reportedly posted objectionable content targeting principal secretary (Home) and TGCSB director Shikha Goel on social media platform X.

Taking a serious note of it, the TGCSB social media team registered a case under the Information Technology Act and other relevant legal sections and are making efforts to identify the culprit. Teams have been formed to identify and nab the suspects. A stern legal action will be taken against anybody who posts abusive, objectionable or defamatory content on social media platforms.

Woman’s suicide note urges husband to quit liquor

A woman ended her life leaving a suicide note urging her husband to quit liquor after her death. The victim, identified as Kaki Anuradha (34), ended her life at her house in Ramdevguda under Golconda police station limits on Saturday night.

Police recovered a suicide note from the victim’s house that stated: “I was vexed over my husband Kaki Shyamraj’s addiction. I did not end life as the children were very small. I waited as they grew up. I decided to end life.”

Anuradha, addressing her husband, wrote: “Shyam, at least after my death please quit consuming liquor,” and urged her parents to get her two sons admitted in a hostel after her death.

DGP hands over ₹1 crore insurance to constable’s kin

Director-General of police C. V. Anand on Monday handed over an insurance cheque of ₹1 crore to the family members Malkajgiri commissionerate constable Charan Kumar who died in a road accident while on duty.

Charan Kumar, a 2018 batch constable, was working on deputation in Eagle Force. On September 22 last year, he was seriously injured in a road accident near Dewarkar village in Maharashtra while returning from duty. He was admitted to a hospital with serious injuries.

He was discharged on October 28, 2025 after undergoing plastic surgery. However, shortly after reaching home, he collapsed and became unconscious. He was rushed back to the same hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Anand expressed condolences to the family. EAGLE Force director Sandeep Shandilya, SP Raghuveer, additional SP Krishnamurthy and other officers coordinated with SBI and completed the insurance claim to provide financial security to the constable’s family.

Excise STF seizes 2,250 kg jaggery for illicit liquor

Special task force Team B of the excise department intercepted a vehicle heading from Hyderabad towards Devarakonda and seized 2,250 kg jaggery and other material worth ₹2.5 lakh. Inspector Balaraju, the accused were transporting the contraband when the teams intercepted their van.

The accused, Angotu Tarun and Patlawat Lak Krishna, natives of Devarakonda, were planning to prepare country‑made liquor Natusara when arrested. The arrested, along with the seized property, have been handed over to Devarakonda excise station for further investigation.

Six youths held for robbing biker

Jawaharnagar police arrested six youths for robbing a motorcyclist after one of them sought a lift before taking him to an isolated place and threatening him with a knife in Ambedkar Nagar.

Police said the offence took place around 8.30 pm on July 31. Based on a complaint lodged by the victim, Padma Rao, a case was registered and an investigation launched. Acting on credible information, police traced and apprehended the accused in Attapur and Rajendranagar.

The arrested were identified as Mohammed Subhan alias MD Fayaz, 19, Mohammed Aziz, 21, Sheikh Waheed, 22, Mohammed Soheluddin, 21, Meer Unayat Ali, 24 and Syed Abrah, 21.

During interrogation, the accused confessed they planned to earn easy money by targeting lone commuters. They hired a car from Tolichowki, roamed around the city and selected the victim. One of them sought a lift on Padma Rao’s motorcycle, while the others followed. After reaching a secluded spot, they threatened him with a knife, robbed ₹5,000 and forced him to transfer ₹800 through Google Pay.

Police seized a knife and four mobile phones and remanded the accused to judicial custody.

In another case, Narsingi police arrested one Shaik Irfan Ahmed who, along with four associates, kidnapped two pedestrians near TGPA Rotary on Himayatsagar Road and robbed them of ₹1,050, two power banks and extorted ₹10,000 through online transfer.

Police advised people not to travel to isolated locations with strangers, avoid offering or accepting lifts from unknown persons, and immediately report suspicious movement to the police.

ATM fraud gang targeting elderly busted

Ameenpur police of the Cyberabad commissionerate arrested six members of an interstate gang involved in cheating ATM users, specifically senior citizens, by fraudulently swapping their debit cards after obtaining their PINs. Two other gang members are absconding.

The case came to light after a complainant reported that he visited an SBI ATM at Kistareddypet on July 27 to withdraw cash. As he faced difficulty operating the machine, two strangers offered to help, took his ATM card and learnt his PIN. Though no cash was dispensed, they returned the card. The next day, the victim received alerts showing unauthorised withdrawals of ₹65,400 from his account.

During investigation, police arrested six accused from Rajasthan and Haryana. They confessed to targeting isolated ATM kiosks, identifying elderly and unsuspecting customers, secretly observing their PINs and replacing their ATM cards with similar‑looking cards. The stolen cards were later used to withdraw cash. Police seized 130 ATM cards from their possession.

Investigators found the gang committed similar offences in Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Haryana. Police also identified eight more associates from Haryana believed to have carried out similar crimes in the city.

Cyberabad Police advised citizens, especially senior citizens, not to seek help from strangers at ATMs, never disclose their PINs or hand over their cards, and to immediately report suspicious persons near ATM centres to the nearest police station or by dialling 100.

Two arrested for chain‑snatching in Alkapoor

Two men were arrested for snatching a woman’s gold mangalsutra while she was walking alone in Alkapoor Township under Narsingi police limits. Police recovered part of the stolen gold, a stolen scooter and mobile phones, DCP C. H. Srinivas said.

According to the officer, “The offence occurred on July 9 at around 9.15 pm on Road No. 14 in Alkapoor Township, when two unidentified persons arrived on a blue scooter, snatched the woman’s approximately 32‑gram gold mangalsutra, pushed her and fled.”

Based on her complaint, Narsingi police registered a robbery case under BNS section 309.

During the investigation, the Narsingi Crime Team and CCS team tracked the suspects using technical surveillance and human intelligence. The duo was intercepted in the Alkapoor area while travelling on a stolen scooter. They allegedly attempted to escape but were caught.

The accused were identified as Dommaranandyala Surya Teja, 29, and Palagiri Rajamohan Reddy, 29, both natives of Kadapa district in Andhra Pradesh.

Police said the accused confessed to the chain‑snatching and admitted to stealing the scooter from Raidurgam police limits before using it in the robbery. Police seized about 20 grams of melted gold, two gold pustelu weighing around two grams, the stolen scooter and two mobile phones. Further investigation is underway.

5 arrested for making fake stamps, forging certificates in Adilabad

Ichoda police on Monday arrested five members of a gang allegedly involved in manufacturing fake rubber stamps and forging government documents in Adilabad district.

Police registered cases against six accused and seized computers, laptops, a fingerprint scanner, cameras and other electronic gadgets. Fake rubber stamps, voter identity cards, birth certificates and other forged documents were also recovered.

Addressing a press conference, Adilabad superintendent of police Akhil Mahajan said the investigation was launched following a complaint by Gundala gram panchayat secretary Mohd Luqman, who alleged that a fake rubber stamp had been created in his name and used to prepare forged certificates.

The SP said the accused allegedly created fake Aadhaar cards, voter identity cards and PAN cards, and fraudulently availed welfare scheme benefits, causing loss to the state government.

The arrested have been identified as Sheik Haroon, 26, of Keshavapatnam village, Ichoda mandal, and Abdul Shafq, 31, Sheik Dilsha Ahmed, 19, Abdul Rahaman Khan, 20, and Syed Naushad, 26, all residents of Ichoda town. Another accused, Abrar Ali of Ichoda town, is absconding.

Utnoor ASP Ruthvik Sai Kotte, Ichoda inspector Naresh Kumar and CCS inspector Chandrasekhar were present at the press conference.

AI Prank Backfires: Man Booked for Creating Fake Flight Ticket Using ChatGPT

A prank involving an AI-generated fake flight ticket landed a Goa-bound passenger in trouble at the Shamshabad airport, with police booking his friend for creating the forged document using ChatGPT.

According to police, Aslam arrived at the airport to board a flight to Goa and produced the ticket during verification. Airport officials found discrepancies in the ticket and, upon checking, discovered that it was a fake.

During questioning, Aslam told officials that his friend Syed offered him the ticket to go to Goa. Police said Syed later admitted that he created the fake e-ticket using ChatGPT as a prank and asked Aslam to travel to Goa.

28-Year-Old Woman Dies Suspiciously in Yapral; Family Accuses Army Husband of Murder

A 28-year-old woman died under suspicious circumstances at her residence in Yapral under Jawaharnagar police and her family, in a complaint, suspected the role of her husband, an Indian Army personnel posted at Bolaram.

Police said the victim, A. Lalitha, had married Balaraju in 2017 and the couple had a son and a daughter. According to a complaint lodged by her brother Angoth Bhadhya, the couple had been facing frequent marital disputes. He alleged that Balaraju physically assaulted Lalitha on several occasions.

Three months ago, she returned to her parental home at Nagar Keshampet thanda after one such incident. The complainant said he later escorted Lalitha back to her matrimonial home, where Balaraju reportedly assaulted both of them as well.
Bhadhya alleged that he received a call from a neighbour identified as Manu, informing him that Lalitha had allegedly put her hand into a bucket of water that was being heated using an immersion heater and was being shifted to hospital. Within a short time, he was informed that she died and her body has been shifted to the Army Hospital.
Police said a case has been registered based on the brother's complaint and the family’s allegations against the husband are being verified. Investigators also noticed injury marks on Lalitha's neck during the preliminary examination and sought an opinion on the injuries during the postmortem.

Four of Family, Including 3 Children, Injured in LPG Cylinder Fire in Medchal

Four members of a family, including three children, suffered burns after an LPG cylinder leaked and the gas caught fire from a diya in their house at Srirangavaram in Yellampet, Medchal district, on Monday.

The injured were identified as Srinivas,37 and his three minor children. Police said the gas leaked when Srinivas was trying to fix the regulator to a refill.

After receiving information, an ambulance rushed to the spot and administered first aid before shifting the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police confirmed that the injuries were not serious.

Minor Driver Mows Down 3 Pedestrians in Raidurgam, 1 Dead; Father Booked

In a second such incident in two days, a minor driver moved down three pedestrians, leaving one of them dead and two injured. The incident occurred near the Renuka Ellamma Temple in Pochamma Basti under the Raidurgam police limits.

The car was being driven by an Intermediate student from Shaikpet, who the police said was a minor. Three of his friends were also reportedly travelling in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Based on the incident, Raidurgam police registered a case against the juvenile and his father. The circumstances leading to the crash were being investigated. Police were also examining the role of the vehicle owner and how the minor gained access to the car.

IPS Trainee Harassment Case: Attapur Police Seek 7-Day Custody of Uday Krishna Reddy

Attapur police have filed a petition seeking seven-day custody of IPS trainee Uday Krishna Reddy to investigate a complaint of alleged sexual harassment of his colleague at the National Police Academy.

Investigators said they had collected key evidence including the accused’s pendrive, laptop and mobile phone and sent it to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for examination.
A special team probing the case has recorded the statements of two witnesses. They also recorded another AP-based victim’s statement to whom Krishna Reddy had allegedly sent a marriage proposal through Instagram.
Sources said Krishna Reddy’s social media account allegedly indicated that he lured another victim. Sources said police also wanted to examine the accused’s financial transactions.
The team constituted by police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar is working under the supervision of women safety wing DCP P. Lavanya Naik Jadav.

Krishna Reddy had subsequently approached the Telangana High Court seeking to quash the FIR registered against him. The court on Wednesday adjourned the matter for hearing after four weeks.

TG-RERA Penalises Developers, Agents for Marketing Unregistered 'Amber Homes' Project

The Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TG-RERA) passed two separate orders in complaints against the "Amber Homes" project at Mucherla in Rangareddy district, and directed penalisation of the management for marketing and selling plots in an unregistered project.

Both complaints involved Rakshit Agrawal of SKA Realtors LLP as the first respondent and Madhirala Rosi Reddy, associated with Fortune 99 Homes, Lavoura Developers Pvt. Ltd. and Hyderabad Reality Capitals, as the second respondent.

In the first case, the complainant alleged that he paid the full consideration for Plot No. 173, but the sale deed was not registered despite repeated assurances. He also claimed that the developer increased the plot price and later issued two cheques towards a refund, both of which were dishonoured.

In the second complaint, the buyer claimed to have paid over `1.17 crore for 1,000 sq. yds in Plot No. 135. While 500 square yards were initially registered, the remaining portion was delayed despite repeated promises. During the proceedings, however, the remaining land was registered, satisfying the buyer's main grievance.

In both orders, TGRERA held that Amber Homes was being marketed and plots sold without mandatory registration under the RERA Act. The Authority rejected the argument that the project was exempt because it originated before the Act came into force, holding that the development and sale activities still required registration.

The authority also found that Rosi Reddy, a registered real estate agent, facilitated the sale of plots in an unregistered project and represented himself as a developer without proper authority, amounting to misrepresentation and unfair conduct.

It held that the third respondents in both cases, Yella Veeranjaneya Reddy alias Anji Reddy and Paladugu Durga Devi respectively, acted as registered real estate agents and violated Section 10(a) of the Act by facilitating transactions in an unregistered project.

RERA directed SKA Realtors LLP to stop advertising or selling plots in the Amber Homes project until it is registered with the Authority. It also instructed RERA Secretary to initiate penalty proceedings against SKA Realtors, Rosi Reddy, Veeranjaneya Reddy and Durga Devi under Section 62 of the Act for their role in the transactions.
