Two Killed, Four Injured in Separate Road Accidents in AP

A fatal collision in Anantapur district and a bus overturning in Nandyal district left multiple casualties, prompting police action and traffic disruption.

Anantapur: A horrific road accident occurred in the early hours of Friday near Agrampalli village in Madakasira mandal of Anantapur district. An Eicher van rammed into a Bolero goods vehicle, resulting in the death of two persons on the spot, while two others sustained critical injuries.

Passing motorists immediately alerted the police, who rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital. Doctors said their condition remains critical. The bodies of the deceased were taken into custody and sent to the district government hospital for post-mortem examination.

Police identified one of the deceased as Vadrapalem Raghuram of Madakasira town, while the other was reported to be a resident of CK Palli. The families of the victims have been informed. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.

In another incident, a private travels bus overturned after losing control on the national highway near Chabolu in Nandyal district. Six passengers were injured in the mishap. Local residents rushed to help and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital.

The accident led to a traffic jam on the highway, with vehicles lining up for several kilometres. Police reached the spot and restored traffic after clearing the road.
