Nalgonda: Turkapalli Police on Monday arrested two ganja peddlers and seized 200 grams of ganja from their possession during vehicle check up at sub-station on the outskirts of Turkapalli. The arrested were identified as Chamala Akhil Reddy, a native of Theryala village of Motakondur mandal, and Majoju Prashanth, a resident of Anantharam of Gundala mandal in Yadadri-Bhongir district.

According to the police, on credible information, two persons were transporting ganja in a car. The Turkapalli sub-inspector, along with his staff, checked a car with No. AP29N5878 at the substation on the outskirts of Turkapalli village and found about 200 grams of ganja. The arrested persons purchased ganja from a person in Bibinagar and transported it to Siddipet. Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District SP Akshansh Yadav said that consuming, selling, or cultivating cannabis is a crime under the law. Anyone who knows information about cannabis should immediately," he said.
