Hyderabad: Boppuri Anand Kumar, an Executive Director and Full-Additional Charge (FAC) General Manager at Telangana Scheduled Castes Co-Operative Development Corporation Limited (TSCCDCL), was caught red-handed by Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) when he demanded Rs.1.33 lakh and accepted Rs.1 lakh as bribe from a complainant.

The bribe amount was demanded for doing official favour as a reward for processing the sanctioned bill of Rs.33.32 lakh and also as an undue advantage for the forthcoming bills of the complainant. The tainted amount of Rs.1 lakh was recovered from the possession of Kumar.

The right hand fingers of Kumar and the bottle inside the upper drawer of his office table yielded positive results in a chemical test. Details of the complainant are withheld for security reasons. The ACB officials arrested Kumar and produced before the special court for ACB cases at Nampally after which the court remanded him to judicial custody.
