Hyderabad: Jubilee Hills police arrested four men for allegedly posing as transgender persons and forcibly collecting money from people.

According to police, the gang had demanded Rs.5,000 from a man who had purchased a high end car. The incident took place on Banjara Hills Road No. 45. A YouTuber who was present at the spot recorded the entire incident and posted the video on X. The video went viral on social media, following which Director General of Police C V Anand directed the Jubilee Hills police to investigate the incident.

After the incident, the man also lodged a complaint, police examined footage of 500 CCTV cameras for nearly a month, tracked the suspects and apprehended them in Boduppal. The accused were: Ramesh, Satyanarayana, another person named Ramesh, and Yadagiri, all residents of Kakatiya Kalanagar.
