Traffic Diversions Announced for Khairatabad Bada Ganesh From Sept. 12
General traffic from VV Statue towards Mint Compound via Rajeev Gandhi Statue will be diverted at Rajeev Gandhi Statue towards Nirankari Junction.
Hyderabad:The Hyderabad traffic police has announced traffic diversions around Khairatabad Bada Ganesh from September 12 to 24 in view of the large number of devotees expected to visit the idol. The restrictions will be imposed on a need basis from 11 am till late night, depending on the visitor rush.
General traffic from VV Statue towards Mint Compound via Rajeev Gandhi Statue will be diverted at Rajeev Gandhi Statue towards Nirankari Junction. Traffic from Old PS Saifabad towards Bada Ganesh through Rajdoot Lane will be diverted towards Iqbal Minar.
Traffic from Iqbal Minar towards IMAX Theatre through Mint Compound will be diverted towards Secretariat X Road at Mint Compound Lane. Vehicles coming from Necklace Rotary towards Mint Compound will be diverted towards Secretariat Junction or Khairatabad flyover.
Traffic coming from Nirankari through Khairatabad Post Office Lane towards Khairatabad Railway Gate will be diverted at the Post Office towards Old PS Saifabad Junction.
The traffic police said congestion is expected at Khairatabad, Shadan College, Ayodhya, Nirankari, Old PS Saifabad, Mint Compound, NTR Marg, Secretariat Junction, Necklace Rotary, KCP Junction and Masab Tank. Commuters have been advised to avoid these routes and take alternative roads.
Visitors arriving through Necklace Rotary and NTR Gardens can park at Race Road, NTR Ghat, HMDA parking beside IMAX Theatre and the open space opposite IMAX Theatre. Those arriving through Khairatabad Junction can park at Vishveshwaraiah Bhavan.
