Traffic Curbs in Old City for Holi Mahela Procession
Vehicles from 100 Feet Road, Jiyaguda and Karwan towards Puranapul will be diverted at Puranapul crossroads.
Hyderabad:Hyderabad traffic police have imposed traffic diversions in parts of the Old City on Wednesday for the Holi Mahela celebrations and a Sikh religious procession.
The procession will begin at 3.30 pm from Central Gurudwara and proceed towards Barambala Gurudwara, Attapur, passing through Shankar Sher Hotel, Mehaboob Gunj, SA Bazar Mosque, Barthan Bazar, Begum Bazar Chatri, Chudi Bazar, Rani Avanthi Bai Statue, Tukkerwadi T-Junction, Gandhi Statue and Purana Pool, among other junctions.
Police said moderate congestion is expected through the routes and diversions will remain in force from 3.30 pm to 10.30 pm.
Traffic from Afzalgunj towards MJ Market will be diverted at Afzalgunj T-Junction towards Central Library. Vehicles from MJ Market heading towards Afzalgunj will be diverted via Malakunta, Hotel Alaska, Chatri, MJ Bridge when the procession crosses SA Bazaar. Traffic from MJ Bridge towards Chatri will be diverted towards Jummerath Bazaar and Dental College.
