Hyderabad: The TPCC’s disciplinary committee will meet on Sunday to discuss a series of internal disputes, prominently featuring the case of Munugode MLA Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy, who has been openly criticising Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in public forums and through the media. The committee is also expected to address other pending matters, including those involving former MLC Konda Murali.

Party sources said that disciplinary committee chairman Mallu Ravi had summoned Raj Gopal Reddy to appear before the panel on Sunday. The legislator had recently criticised Revanth Reddy over his comments on “social media journalists” and objected to what he termed the “abusive language” being used by the Chief Minister against Opposition leaders.

Raj Gopal Reddy has been vocal about his dissatisfaction with the Congress leadership over being denied a Cabinet berth in June. He has alleged that the party high command had promised him a ministerial post if he rejoined the Congress from the BJP—a promise he claims was reiterated on the condition that he secure Congress’ victory in the Bhongir Lok Sabha seat, which he says he delivered. According to Rajgopal, these assurances were not honoured, leading to his current public criticism.

The disciplinary committee will also deliberate on other issues, including remarks made by Konda Murali, husband of minister Konda Surekha, against Congress MLAs from the erstwhile Warangal district.
