TPCC Chief Says BRS Will Split, Be Extinct by Next Polls
Mahesh Kumar accused the previous BRS government of failing to fulfil the 2BHK promise and said that the people were now happy with the current Congress government over getting Indiramma houses
ADILABAD: The Congress’ second phase of Janahita padayatra began on a grand note from Uppara Malyala village of Gangadhara mandal in Choppadhandi assembly constituency, Karimanagar district, on Sunday. The padayatra covering 5 km passed through Malayala, Kudikyala, and Gagadhana villages and concluded at Madhurabagar corner in Gangadhara mandal headquarters. Party activists in large numbers belonging to different Assembly constituencies of Karimnagar district, and the local people, participated in the event.
Before launching the padayatra programme, TPCC president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud, AICC in-charge for Telangana Meenaskhi Natarajan, and the ministers garlanded the statue of Dr B.R. Ambedkar at Uppara Malyala village. Speaking on the occasion, the TPCC chief predicted that there would be no BRS in the Telangana political picture by the next Assembly elections, as it was already divided into three groups led by family members. He alleged that BRS top leaders are hiding and trying to save their skin, with the Supreme Court rejecting their petition filed against the report on the Kaleshwaram project.
Mahesh Kumar accused the previous BRS government of failing to fulfil the 2BHK promise and said that the people were now happy with the current Congress government over getting Indiramma houses. He also criticised the BJP leaders for seeking votes in the name of gods and provoking religious sentiments among the people. The TPCC reiterated that the Congress would come to power again by winning 100 seats in the next Assembly polls.
AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan said the Congress was committed to social justice and it would give equal opportunities for OBCs, SCs, and STs in all fields. She said the Congress government led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is doing social justice, taking the inspiration from Rahul Gandhi, who is fighting for the rights of the Adivasis, Dalits, and OBCs in the country. Choppadandi MLA Medipalli Satyam said that since the Congress came to power in Telangana, it had initiated various steps, including crop loan waiver of ₹ 21,000 crore, recruitment of 60,000 jobs, implementation of six guarantee schemes, including Indiramma house, fine quality rice, and free power up to 200 units, and LPG cylinder for₹ 500. Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Vivek Venkatswamy, and Adluri Laxman Kumar, former minister Jeevan Reddy, MLAs Aadi Srinivas and Makhan Singh Thakoor, and senior Congress leaders Sathu Mallesh, Gadwal Vijayalaxmi, Dhanalaxmi, and others were present.
