Karimnagar: Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamshi Krishna’s appeals to the railway authorities led to the successful introduction of a halt for the Tirupati Superfast Express at Peddapalli Railway Station on Thursday.

Earlier, the Tirupati Superfast Express used to halt at Peddapalli station, but a few years ago, railway authorities discontinued the stop for unspecified reasons, causing inconvenience to passengers travelling to Tirupati.

Due to the absence of a stop at Peddapalli, passengers were forced to travel to either Kazipet or Karimnagar to board the Tirupati Superfast Express, incurring additional travel time and expenses. Acknowledging the difficulties faced by the public, MP Gaddam Vamshi Krishna took the initiative in response to their requests. Accompanied by his father, Chennur MLA Vivek Venkataswamy, he met with South Central Railway general manager Arun Kumar Jain to press for the restoration of the train halt at Peddapalli.

They submitted a formal representation requesting the reinstatement of the Tirupati Superfast Express halt at Peddapalli Railway Station. Responding positively, the railway authorities agreed to the appeal and announced that the train would once again include Peddapalli as a scheduled stop.
