TGTDC Unveils ‘Customise Your Tour’ Concept
Tourists can now plan personalised trips; Rs 100 Weekend Wonders contest unveiled
Hyderabad: The Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TGTDC) has introduced a ‘Customise Your Tour’ concept, enabling tourists to plan personalised travel experiences across Telangana.
The initiative was launched on Thursday by Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary (Youth Advancement, Tourism and Culture Department), along with TGTDC managing director Valluru Kranthi.
On the occasion, they also unveiled the Rs 100 Weekend Wonders’ travel contest poster and a booklet detailing customised tour options available for tourists.
As part of the Rs 100 Weekend Wonders’ contest, participants are invited to showcase hidden and weekend-friendly destinations in Telangana by submitting three photographs and a 60-second video highlighting nature, heritage or offbeat travel spots. The contest is designed to encourage travellers and content creators to explore and promote the state’s lesser-known tourism destinations.
Under the customised tour programme, tourists can call the toll-free number 1800-4254-6464 to enquire about destinations and design tours based on their preferences, or choose from existing tour packages offered by TGTDC.
Speaking at the launch, Valluru Kranthi said that with several exhibitions being held at HITEX Exhibition Centre, many visitors are coming to Hyderabad daily. “Tourists can use our services to explore Telangana. These days, working professionals are increasingly using weekends and holidays to travel and relieve work-related stress,” she said.
Tours will operate on prior registration with full payment. Air-conditioned mini buses with a minimum of 10–15 passengers will be arranged, while smaller vehicles will be provided for families. Packages include transportation and entry tickets as per the itinerary. However, shopping expenses, camera tickets and certain site-specific rules will apply. Once booked, customised tours cannot be cancelled.
The popular packages include Hyderabad local tours covering Charminar, Macca Masjid, Chowmahalla Palace, Laad Bazaar and Salar Jung Museum, as well as outstation tours to Yadagirigutta, Pochampally, Ramappa Temple, Warangal Heritage Trail, Devarakonda Fort and Nagarjunasagar.
