TGSPDCL Strengthens Power Supply across Telangana: Patil
As part of Praja Bata–Basti Bata programme, Patil visited Malkaram village and reviewed the power supply system, maintenance activities, and field-level conditions
Hyderabad: The Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) is undertaking several initiatives to further strengthen the power distribution system and ensure quality, reliable, and uninterrupted electricity supply to agricultural, domestic, and commercial consumers across the state.
As part of these efforts, TGSPDCL CMD Jitesh V. Patil stated that the 33 KV and 11 KV power network in the Chevella of Ranga Reddy district will be strengthened and comprehensive network mapping will be carried out through advanced drone surveys.
As part of Praja Bata–Basti Bata programme, Patil visited Malkaram village under Chevella Section and reviewed the power supply system, maintenance activities, and field-level conditions.
On the occasion, he personally climbed an electricity pole to assess field operations and examine the safety practices being followed by department personnel. To enhance the reliability of power supply in the Chevella region, a 33 KV interlink line of approximately five kilometres will be established between the Alur Feeder, Dharmasagar 33 KV Feeder, and Pudur Feeder.
This interconnection will enable power supply to be shifted between substations whenever required, thereby minimizing interruptions and improving network flexibility. He further stated that the existing 33 KV feeder from Chegur to Shabad will be extended by about seven kilometres to provide an alternate power supply source to the Shabad 33/11 KV Substation.
This arrangement will improve the reliability of supply to several substations, including Bobbiligama and Antharam. As part of power network modernization, the CMD instructed officials to conduct drone surveys and undertake detailed mapping of the 33 KV and 11 KV network in the Chevella.
The mapping exercise will help assess the condition of power lines, identify deficiencies, plan maintenance requirements, evaluate alternate supply arrangements, and facilitate future network development works more effectively.
During the visit, Patil reviewed the work being carried out by field staff and appreciated their efforts in ensuring uninterrupted and quality power supply to farmers. Emphasizing the importance of employee safety, he also distributed modern pole-climbing equipment to O&M staff.
The CMD stated that TGSPDCL is committed to improving the quality and reliability of power supply through network strengthening, adoption of modern technologies, and enhancement of employee safety standards, thereby delivering better services to consumers.
