TGSPDCL CMD Stresses Electrical Safety Ahead of Sri Krishna Janmashtami, Vinayaka Chavithi

Hyderabad: A comprehensive review on power supply quality, safety measures, infrastructure development, and data management was conducted today by TGSPDCL Chairman & Managing Director Jitesh V. Patil during a teleconference here on Wednesday.
The CMD directed officials to complete and keep ready the Network Asset Data to be transferred to RPDCL by this Saturday. He instructed Superintending Engineers (SEs) and Senior Accounts Officers (SAOs) to closely monitor the process and ensure completion of all related works within the stipulated timeframe.
In view of the upcoming Sri Krishna Janmashtami and Vinayaka Chavithi festivals, the CMD emphasized that electrical safety should be accorded the highest priority. He instructed officials to expedite the removal of sagging power lines, replacement of bent and corroded electric poles, and installation of Aerial Bunched (AB) Cables in vulnerable locations.
He further directed ADEs concerned to personally inspect pandals and Ganesh immersion procession routes, create awareness among organizers regarding electrical safety precautions, and take preventive measures to avoid any untoward incidents.
Regarding the free lefts and junction development works being undertaken within the limits of GHMC, CMC, and MMC, the CMD instructed officials to complete all electricity-related estimates by September 9 and keep them ready for review during the meeting scheduled on September 10.
To improve power supply reliability, Patil instructed every division to identify one feeder that recorded the highest number of interruptions during August, analyze the root causes, and implement permanent corrective measures.
He also directed officials to identify the best-performing feeders that provided uninterrupted power supply and to interact directly with consumers in those areas. Officials were asked to explain the successful maintenance practices adopted and the repair and development works undertaken by the power utility.
The CMD emphasized that every officer should work with commitment and accountability towards the objective of providing quality and uninterrupted power supply to consumers. He advised officials to adopt a proactive approach by identifying potential issues in advance and resolving them before they affect consumers.
