TGSPDCL CMD Inaugurates Consumer Awareness Camp at TIMS

Hyderabad: As part of the PMSG-MBY Seva Setu Abhiyan being conducted to promote wider awareness of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSG-MBY) among consumers, a Consumer Awareness Camp was inaugurated at TIMS, Sanath Nagar here on Friday.
On the occasion, TGSPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Jitesh V. Patil unveiled the PMSG-MBY awareness banner.
The special awareness programme, being conducted from October 2 to October 4, aims to educate domestic consumers about the installation of rooftop solar systems, government subsidies available under the scheme, the application process, and the various benefits offered through the PM Surya Ghar programme.
Patil stated that the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana is a flagship initiative of the Central government aimed at promoting the use of clean and renewable energy across the country.
He said that under the scheme, domestic consumers can install rooftop solar systems on their homes, significantly reduce their electricity bills, and also earn financial benefits by exporting surplus power to the grid.
The CMD further stated that TGSPDCL is organizing Seva Setu Abhiyan awareness camps to educate consumers about the scheme’s benefits, subsidy structure, and application procedure. He appealed to the public to make use of this opportunity and enroll under the PM Surya Ghar scheme.
