TGiCCC Issues Red Alert For 4 Districts On Heavy Rainfall Forecast
TGiCCC stepped up its proactive preparedness measures to ensure public safety, timely emergency response, and enhanced coordination among law enforcement and disaster management agencies
Hyderabad: As the monsoon season continues to bring widespread rainfall across the State, the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre (TGiCCC) has stepped up its proactive preparedness measures to ensure public safety, timely emergency response, and enhanced coordination among law enforcement and disaster management agencies.
In response to the current IMD weather forecast and ground-level reports, the TGiCCC has issued a red alert for Komaram Bheem-Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, and Peddapalli districts and also informed to the District Collectors concerned, Commissioners of Police (CPs) and Superintendents of Police (SPs) and control rooms, where the areas are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall, and are being closely monitored for flood-like situations, road disruptions, and emergency rescue needs, TGiCCC VB Kamalasan Reddy said on Thursday.
Simultaneously, an orange alert has been issued for Adilabad, Nizamabad, Jagitial, JayashankarBhupalapally, Mulugu, and BhadradriKothagudem, where rainfall activity remains significant and could pose localized threats.
Further, as a part of early warning system TGiCCC disseminated the alerts to the districts concerned through the Sachet Integrated Alert Platform for taking precautionary measures by the respective authorities and also by the public.
The Multi-Agency Operations Centre (MAOC) at TGiCCC is operating 24x7 and is in constant touch with district control rooms, local police units, disaster response teams, municipal authorities and civic authorities.
All relevant departments have been advised to remain on high alert and to activate local-level emergency response protocols, wherever necessary. Additionally Joint Action Teams have been formed with multiple departments like Hydraa and DRF, GHMC, HMWS&SB, TGSPDCL and Police (Law &Order and Traffic) to monitor waterlogging points in GHMC limits.
The key support being provided by TGiCCC includes live weather and flood monitoring using satellite feeds and IMD data, incident mapping through integrated GIS dashboards, video surveillance analysis from over cameras, resource coordination between disaster response, police, and civic agencies, mass alert communication via sachet integrated alert platform and social media platforms in affected districts.
