TGCHE Holds Workshop To Improve Rankings Of 16 Univs

Hyderabad: In an effort to give a boost to institutional performance in national rankings as well as improving overall academic quality of universities in the state, Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) on Wednesday organised workshop on the national Institutional ranking for 16 universities.
Prof. V. Balakista Reddy, chairman, TGCHE, said the importance of holding such initiatives is to enhance the institutional funding opportunities, accreditation outcomes. He said the state is emerging rapidly as knowledgeable and innovation hub with the increasing participation of Central institutions and state universities in the NIRF rankings.
He said the NIRF rankings should be viewed not merely as an evaluation tool but also as roadmap for sustained and strategic growth of higher education in Telangana through interdisciplinary research, innovation and institutional collaborations.
Prof. E. Purushotham, vice chairman-1, Prof. S.K. Mahamood, vice chairman-2 and Prof. Sriram Venkatesh, secretary of the TGCHE also shared their perspectives on the significance of NIRF rankings and its impact.
About 50 coordinators and nodal officers from 16 universities and other institutions participated in the workshop.
