Telangana-based rights lawyer Rama Rao Immaneni has approached the President’s secretariat, seeking immediate constitutional intervention in the matter.

The complaint registered as Gr No. PRSEC/E/2026/0032285, in which Rama Rao stated that the remarks have “hurt the religious sentiments of millions of Hindus across the country.”

It further alleges that such "anti-Sanatani" and "anti-Hindu" statements were prmoting "hatred, social rift, and communal differences". These utterances were against the constitutional morality. The complaint also sought necessary directions to prevent further circulation of such remarks on media and other digital platforms.

The representation also emphasised that the constitutional framework guarantees respect for all faiths and protection of religious dignity. Hence, strict action must be taken against him for inciting “hostility as well as undermining communal harmony in the country."
