TG Inter Exams 2027: TGBIE Sets October 31 Deadline for Private Candidate Attendance Exemption
Candidates with a one-year gap after passing SSC can appear for only for the first-year intermediate examinations.
Hyderabad:Private candidates seeking exemption from attendance to appear for the Intermediate Public Examinations in March 2027 must submit their applications by October 31, the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) announced on Thursday. The exemption fee is Rs 500. Applications will be accepted with a late fee of Rs 200 until November 15 and Rs 500 until November 30.
Candidates must apply online through the official website. The board stated that the fee would not be refunded or adjusted if a candidate was subsequently found ineligible.
The provision applies to private candidates in Arts and Humanities, those seeking to change from Science to Arts and Humanities, and candidates wishing to appear for additional subjects. Students who have passed Intermediate in BPC can appear for Mathematics as an additional subject.
Candidates with a one-year gap after passing SSC can appear for only for the first-year intermediate examinations. Those with a gap of two years or more can appear for both years together.
Applicants must upload their SSC certificates, transfer certificates or certificates confirming study without attending school, along with other required documents. Candidates from other boards must also obtain an eligibility certificate from TGBIE.
The board reiterated that internal assessments would apply to first-year subjects from 2026-27. The newly introduced ACE group and separate Mathematics IA and IB papers for MEC are restricted to first-year candidates. Direct second-year entry in ACE through attendance exemption is not permitted.
