TG Announces Affordable Flats For Lower Income Groups

Hyderabad: The Telangana Housing Board on Thursday announced sale of 339 (1-BHK) flats for Low Income Groups (LIG) in Gachibowli, Warangal and Khammam.

A total of 111 flats are available in Gachibowli (Hyderabad), 102 flats near Warangal Railway Station and 126 flats at Sriram Hills in Khammam.
“These will be allocated through a completely ‘transparent lottery’ system to those who have applied expressing interest in purchasing them. It has been decided that these flats will be allocated only to those with an annual income of Rs 6 lakh (Rs 50,000 per month),” informed Board vice chairman V.P. Gautham.
The flats range in size from 450 square feet to 650 square feet and the price of flats in the Gachibowli area ranges from Rs 26 lakh to a maximum of Rs 36.20 lakh. Similarly, flats in Khammam and Warangal are available for Rs 19 to Rs 21.50 lakh and in Khammam, some are available for as low as Rs 11.25 lakh.
Those interested in purchasing flats in these areas can apply online or at Meeseva centers. The lottery process for the Gachibowli flats will be conducted on January 6, for Warangal on January 8, and for Khammam on January 10.
