A 32-year-old woman, Gulla Anuradha, allegedly killed her seven-year-old son Rithvik died by suicide at an agricultural well in Gownipalli under Nawabpet police station.

A 32-year-old woman, Gulla Anuradha, allegedly killed her seven-year-old son Rithvik died by suicide at an agricultural well in Gownipalli under Nawabpet police station. Her daughter Prajwala reportedly managed to escape.

The incident occurred at about 4 pm on Saturday. The well was located near their house. Sources said that Anuradha had tried to chase Prajwala, who locked herself up in the house, Nawabpet sub-inspector K. Arun Kumar told Deccan Chronicle.
Arundha’s husband Gulla Ramulu, a farmer, had gone to his field to work after having lunch. The couple had married 13 years ago

The police quoting Prajwala said that her mother had received a telephone call after which she broke down in tears. She took her two children and went towards the well, Prajwala said.

Police suspected family disputes to be behind the incident. Police booked a case and collected Anuradha’s call records and was taking her husband Ramulu’s statement.
