Telangana signs MoU with CEGIS to improve efficiency of public expenditure
The collaboration is already in place with the State government from 2019 to 2024.
Hyderabad:To strengthen data-driven governance model and improve the efficiency of public expenditure in the state, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka along with officials from the State finance and planning departments have renewed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Delhi-based Centre for Effective Governance of Indian States (CEGIS), which helps states to deliver better development outcomes. The collaboration is already in place with the State government from 2019 to 2024.
The MoU was signed at Secretariat and the officials who signed it include state finance department Special Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, planning department principal secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Founder of the Centre for Effective Governance of Indian States Foundation, Professor Karthik Muraleedharan, Project Director Harinarayan, and Planning director Om Prakash.
The CEGIS Foundation worked with the state with many key departments such as Education, Women Development and Child Welfare, Agriculture to co-create interventions and strengthen governance for better developmental outcomes.
