Telangana Ready to Collaborate with Germany: Bhatti
The delegation noted that many German engineers were working in India, particularly in Telangana. Around 60,000 students from India were studying in Germany in various courses.
Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that the state government was ready to collaborate with Germany in the IT, defence and pharma sectors. The government would extend all support if Germany invested in these areas, he said.
Telangana was keen to send skilled human resources to Germany and was interested in working jointly in Germany’s renowned metallurgy and automobile manufacturing sectors, he told a German Parliament delegation that met him at Praja Bhavan. IT minister D. Sridhar Babu was present at the meeting where Bhatti briefed the delegation that included Josef Oster, member (CDU/CSU) of the German Parliament on the opportunities.
Bhatti mentioned the Musi River rejuvenation and programmes for the agriculture-based sectors. Hyderabad continues to grow as an IT hub, and the government was ready to collaborate with Germany in these areas, he said.
He also stated that a German language department could be set up at the Skill University being built in Bharat Future City, enabling Telangana students to learn the German language and pursue employment opportunities in Germany.
The German delegation expressed interest in cooperation with Telangana in cyber security and skilled labour development. The delegation noted that many German companies had invested in India, and globally renowned companies such as Bosch were operating with significant workforce participation.
