Telangana: Police Seize 310 Quintals of PDS Rice, Nab Peddler
Upon interrogation, it was revealed that Keshaboina Mogili, along with his accomplices, had been purchasing PDS rice from surrounding villages in Hasanparthy for illegal sale.
Warangal: In a significant operation under the jurisdiction of Hasanparthy police, a task force team on Saturday apprehended a suspect involved in illegal transportation of PDS rice in Hanamkonda.
Speaking to the media, task force ACP A. Madhusudhan said that the accused, Keshaboina Mogili, 47, from Bornapally village in Huzurabad Mandal, was arrested on the outskirts of Devannapet village in Hasanparthy Mandal.
The police seized around 310 quintals of PDS rice, with a market value of Rs 8.06 lakh. In addition to rice, the police also confiscated a lorry (AP 16 TB 9747) and a two-wheeler (AP 15 AS 1109) that were used for illegal transport of PDS rice. A mobile phone was also recovered from their possession
