Hyderabad: The Telangana police disposed of 1,05,182 compoundable cases during National Lok Adalat held in the State on Sunday.

The Supreme Court had fixed the National Lok Adalat on December 21 2025, aimed at amicably settling cases between parties through compounding. The initiative has witnessed remarkable success across the State, addressing a wide range of legal matters and providing financial relief to victims of cyber fraud.

The police department identified eligible compoundable cases for settlement and served notices to both parties. The process commenced on December 11 and concluded on December 21. A total of 1,05,182 cases were successfully liquidated during National Lok Adalat.

As many as 14108 FIR cases were compounded, apart settling 215 disaster management cases, 55497 e-Petty cases and 31599 Motor Vehicle Act cases. Around Rs.19.50 crore was refunded to the victims in 3,763 cybercrime cases.

The Lok Adalat provided a valuable platform for the public to resolve compoundable cases amicably, significantly reducing the burden of court appearances, saving time and money, and offering peace of mind to both parties.

People were encouraged to fully utilize the benefits of the Lok Adalat to effectively resolve such matters, according to a statement.
