Telangana Meets All-Time Record 19,892 MW Power Demand
TGSPDCL also set records by meeting a peak demand of 12,299 MW and supplying 223.34 million units (MU) of electricity, the highest in its history.
Hyderabad: Telangana met a record peak power demand of 19,892 MW on Wednesday, marking a new high for the state’s power sector.
TGSPDCL also set records by meeting a peak demand of 12,299 MW and supplying 223.34 million units (MU) of electricity, the highest in its history.
TGSPDCL chairman and managing director Jitesh V. Patil said electricity demand was rising steadily across Telangana, but uninterrupted and quality power supply remained the utility’s top priority.
He said the state government’s support and the efforts of engineers, officers and field staff had helped TGSPDCL meet the growing demand and achieve new operational records.
Patil said the utility was strengthening power infrastructure, augmenting substation capacities and speeding up network development works to prepare for higher demand in the coming months.
“Every day brings a new record, and every record reflects Telangana’s growth and development. Our commitment is to provide uninterrupted, reliable and quality power supply to every consumer,” he said.
